Iqra Mian, MD, is a graduate of University of Missouri Kansas City School of Medicine in Kansas City, MO. She completed her residency in Neurology at Wright State University Boonshoft School of Medicine in Dayton, OH where she went on to complete a fellowship in Multiple Sclerosis/Neuroimmunology at Wright State University Boonshoft School of Medicine in Dayton, OH. Dr. Mian is board certified in Neurology by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology.
Dr. Mian is a neurologist with a focus on the comprehensive management of Multiple Sclerosis. She offers a range of treatments and procedures tailored to the individual needs of her patients, including the administration of Botox for the management of spasticity and headaches, and the oversight of intrathecal baclofen pump therapy. Dr. Mian is committed to optimizing the quality of life for individuals living with chronic neurological conditions. Outside of her professional life, she enjoys traveling and reading.

She explained things well. I knew about the tests. Of course I don't want to be difficult but I'm not sure I want my sister with me. My friends and family are part of the problem instead of the solution. They tell me what to do instead of treating me like an adult. They all seem to want to remind me that I have an issue. I'm well aware of what's happening and don't need to be reminded. I'm pretty independent and have been for a long time. I don't want to be reminded constantly that my brain is shrinking. They ALL seem to forget that I'm a cancer survivor and I took care of myself most of the time and was on my own a lot. I did fine!! I survived learning to walk and drive again. All of this is making me unhappy. I'm not ready to quit work and I'm certainly not ready for a nursing home. I have things I want to do! Sister wants me to sell my condo so I can afford a facility. I still have a lot of life left in me. I am willing to do the things Dr suggested but I need an advocate that understands I'm not ready to throw my life away.

I found her to be extremely helpful due to her understanding, explaining my health issues in easily understandable terms, she is obviously a seasoned professional. She also took time and did not rush through this session. I really appreciate her!

My condition calls for more in-depth neurological information than I was provided at this appointment. While the doctor was very nice, I didn't feel she was thoroughly on-board with my issues.
