Aleksey Prok, MD

Aleksey Prok, MD, is a graduate of Saratov State Medical institute in Saratov, Russia. He completed his residency in Anesthesiology at Virginia Commonwealth University, Medical College of Virginia, in Richmond, VA. He went on to complete a fellowship in Pain Management at the University of Virginia in Charlottesville, VA. Dr. Prok is board certified in Anesthesiology and Pain Management by the American Board of Anesthesiology. He is a member of the American Society of Anesthesiology. 

Dr. Prok is a dedicated pain medicine specialist with a special interest in neuromodulation, a field that focuses on using technology to alter nerve activity and alleviate pain. He specializes in treating patients with chronic pain, and his approach is rooted in a comprehensive philosophy of care that is both humane and kind.

He offers a wide range of treatment options, including both interventional procedures and medical management, to help patients find relief and improve their quality of life. Dr. Prok believes in creating a personalized treatment plan for each patient, ensuring they receive compassionate and effective care tailored to their unique needs.

Outside of his professional life, Dr. Prok enjoys cooking and scuba diving. He is fluent in Russian.
