Dr. Bansal wanted to become a doctor because he has always valued building strong, trusting relationships with people and he found that connection during his oncology rotations. In cancer care, patients often rely on their families and care teams for support, and that creates a close bond between everyone involved. What makes oncology special to Dr. Bansal is this deep sense of teamwork and trust. At the same time, the science behind cancer treatment is always advancing, which keeps the work exciting and meaningful. It’s a field where he can care for people during some of their hardest times while also staying at the forefront of medicine.
Outside of his professional life, Dr. Bansal enjoys watching all types of sports, traveling, watching movies, and playing video games.

Went to the cancel building that is being remod led to a lack of proper instructions. ! A map would have made things easier to find building needed to go to!

The Dr. also explained different ways things could proceed depending on which way things might proceed. I am very pleased that he is my oncologist, he always has plenty of time for any questions/concerns I may have, even if I repeat myself.

I received multiple pages of questions in the mail with instructions to complete the forms and bring them with me to my appointment. The instructions included a subtle threat that 'if you don't bring the completed forms, we may cancel your appointment'. I don't think this was a good use of my time, and I didn't appreciate the 'do this or else' approach. All this data was already on MyChart. Perhaps you could ask the patient to confirm the data on MyChart or, if not on MyChart, complete the mailed forms. Luckily, my actual experience at my appointment was so much better than the initial impression!
