Amy L. Kinter, MSN, APRN, FNP-C, earned her Master of Science, Family Nurse Practitioner and her Bachelor of Science in Nursing at Indiana Wesleyan University. She is a board certified family nurse practitioner by the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners. Amy is a member of Sigma Theta Tau International nursing honor society, American Association of Nurse Practitioners, and Ohio Association of Advanced Practice Nurses.
She provides comprehensive care for patients of all ages, including preventive care, wellness visits, acute illnesses, chronic disease management, cardiovascular health, hematology, gastrointestinal conditions, women's and men's health, behavioral health, dermatology, and urgent care needs.
Her clinical skills include suturing and repair of minor lacerations, wound care, incision and drainage of abscesses, suture and staple removal, foreign body removal, cryotherapy for benign skin lesions, skin tag removal, burn care, joint injections, EKGs, point-of-care testing, Pap smears, pelvic examinations, and basic casting, splinting, and orthopedic support.
Amy is committed to providing compassionate, patient-centered, evidence-based care. She believes in listening carefully to her patients, understanding their unique concerns, values, and goals, and partnering with them to make informed healthcare decisions. Through open communication, education, and respect, she strives to build trusting relationships while delivering comprehensive care that emphasizes prevention, wellness, early intervention, and long-term health.
She chose family practice because of the opportunity to care for patients throughout every stage of life and develop meaningful, lasting relationships with them. Amy enjoys the variety that family medicine offers and values the ability to help patients manage both acute and chronic conditions while encouraging them to take an active role in their health and well-being.
Outside of work, she enjoys spending time with her two dogs, attending local festivals, cooking, reading, and watching movies.
