Andrew “AJ” Petry, PA, is a certified physician assistant who provides thoughtful, patient‑centered care with a focus on gastrointestinal health. He is certified by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA) and is committed to helping patients feel heard, supported, and confident in their care decisions.

AJ completed his physician assistant training at the University of Dayton Physician Assistant Program in Dayton, OH. His clinical interests include general gastroenterology and liver disease, and he is particularly attentive to the sensitive and personal nature of gastrointestinal concerns.

AJ’s approach to care emphasizes active listening and shared decision‑making. He strives to create a comfortable environment where patients feel at ease discussing symptoms that may be difficult or uncomfortable to talk about. By taking time to understand each patient’s concerns, he works collaboratively to identify the best course of action and help patients feel better as efficiently and safely as possible.

AJ chose to work in gastroenterology because he values building trust with patients and believes open, judgment‑free communication is essential to effective care. He is especially passionate about helping patients navigate GI conditions with clarity, reassurance, and respect.

Outside of work, AJ enjoys spending time with family, friends and his fiancée, working out, traveling, and watching sports.
