Anne Serrao, DO, MS graduated from the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine in Philadelphia, PA. She completed her residency in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation at ECU Health Medical Center in Greenville, NC, followed by a fellowship in Sports Medicine at Allegheny Health Network in Pittsburgh, PA. Dr. Serrao is board certified in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation by the American Board of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation.
Dr. Serrao specializes in nonoperative musculoskeletal care and has particular expertise in electrodiagnostic medicine (EMG/NCS), ultrasound-guided procedures, and spasticity management, including botulinum toxin injections. She treats a wide range of acute and chronic musculoskeletal conditions, including arthritis, tendon and ligament injuries, back and neck pain, and sports-related injuries. Her services include nonoperative treatment strategies, ultrasound-guided injections, electrodiagnostic testing, and botulinum toxin therapy for spasticity management.
Dr. Serrao's approach to patient care begins with understanding each patient's unique concerns and goals. She believes in providing thoughtful evaluations, clearly explaining diagnoses and treatment options, and partnering with patients to develop individualized care plans. She is committed to utilizing the least invasive, evidence-based treatments whenever appropriate while recognizing when advanced interventions or specialty collaboration may provide the best outcome.
She is an active member of the American Academy of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation (AAPM&R), the American Association of Neuromuscular & Electrodiagnostic Medicine (AANEM), and the American Medical Society for Sports Medicine (AMSSM).
Outside of work, Dr. Serrao enjoys spending time with her family, her husband, and their golden retriever. She also enjoys hiking and attending sporting events.
