Austin J Schlater, PT

Austin Schlater, PT, DPT is a physical therapist serving patients in Centerville and Tipp City, Ohio. He earned his Doctor of Physical Therapy degree from the University of Dayton in 2026 and received his Bachelor of Science in Business from Wright State University–Lake Campus in 2022.

Austin specializes in both sports and orthopedic physical therapy, helping athletes and active individuals recover from injuries, improve performance, and reduce their risk of future injury. He treats conditions including sprains and strains, back pain, joint pain, and overuse injuries. His treatment approach incorporates evidence-based techniques such as therapeutic exercise, postural training, blood flow restriction (BFR) therapy, and injury prevention strategies tailored to each patient’s goals.

A lifelong advocate for health, fitness, and performance, Austin brings a unique blend of clinical expertise and strength and conditioning experience to patient care. He is a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS), Tactical Strength and Conditioning Facilitator (TSAC-F), and certified personal trainer. He is also a current participant in the University of Dayton Physical Therapy Sports Residency Program and holds numerous advanced certifications in orthopedic exercise, corrective exercise, pain science, biomechanics, shoulder rehabilitation, cognitive conditioning, and performance training.

Throughout his career, Austin has worked with a wide variety of athletes, patients, and organizations, including high schools, collegiate programs, sports medicine clinics, and healthcare systems across Ohio. Prior to beginning residency, he founded and operated his own personal training business, helping clients enhance athletic performance and minimize injury risk. He is also the author of an anatomy review resource for undergraduate anatomy and physiology students.

Outside the clinic, Austin enjoys strength training, staying active, and continually expanding his knowledge of human performance and rehabilitation.
