Benjamin Allen Clouse, MD

Benjamin Clouse, MD, MPH, earned his medical degree from Wright State University in Dayton, OH, where he also completed his residency in Family Medicine. He is board certified in Family Medicine by the American Board of Family Medicine.

Dr. Clouse provides full-spectrum family medicine care, serving patients from newborns through older adulthood. His clinical interests include preventive medicine, chronic disease management, and academic medicine. He cares for patients with a wide range of conditions, including hypertension, type 2 diabetes, chronic kidney disease, congestive heart failure, COPD, asthma, arthritis, and ADHD. He also provides newborn care and contraceptive services, including Nexplanon and IUD placement. Please note that he does not provide perinatal care.

His services include annual wellness visits, preventive care, acute sick visits, chronic disease management, Nexplanon and IUD placement, and knee injections.

Dr. Clouse believes healthcare is about caring for people, not simply treating diagnoses. He recognizes that health and wellness extend beyond medications and medical conditions and strives to help patients achieve their personal health goals. Whenever appropriate, he emphasizes lifestyle and dietary changes as part of a comprehensive approach to care. He values partnering with patients to create individualized healthcare plans that support long-term well-being at every stage of life.

He chose family medicine because it allows him to care for individuals and families across their entire lifespan. He finds great fulfillment in building long-term relationships with patients, supporting them through life's challenges and milestones, and providing continuity of care over time.

In addition to his clinical practice, Dr. Clouse serves as an Assistant Professor of Family Medicine at the Wright State University Boonshoft School of Medicine. He is also Adjunct Faculty at the Wright State Raj Soin College of Business and the University of Dayton School of Education and Health Sciences. Throughout his education and career, he has received numerous honors recognizing his academic achievement, leadership, commitment to family medicine, and dedication to patient care.

Dr. Clouse is a member of the American Academy of Family Physicians, Society of Hospital Medicine, and Society of Teachers of Family Medicine.

Outside of work, he enjoys reading fantasy and science fiction, spending time with his son, taking walks with his dog, and following current events, particularly those related to economics.
