Chris Glanz, PT is a Physical Therapist located in Lebanon, OH. He earned his Doctor of Physical Therapy from Massachusetts General Hospital Institute of Health Professions in Boston, MA in 2010 and his Master of Physical Therapy from The Ohio State University in Columbus, OH in 2001. Chris received his Bachelor of Science in Health and Sport Studies - Exercise Science from Miami University in Oxford, OH in 1999. He is board-certified in Orthopedics by the American Physical Therapy Association.
Chris specializes in orthopedic physical therapy and treats patients with joint pain, back pain, sprains/strains, fractures and those who are post-operative surgery. Techniques and treatments may include manual therapy, therapeutic exercise, instrument-assisted soft tissue mobilization (IASTM), myofascial or joint mobilization, and Kinesio taping.
Chris specializes in sports physical therapy and treats patients with sprains/strains, fractures, and ligamentous/muscle tears as well as those who are post-operative knee, shoulder, hip, or ankle surgeries. Techniques and treatments may include instrument-assisted soft tissue mobilization (IASTM), manual therapy, Kinesio taping, and injury prevention.
Chris has always had a love for sports and, even from a young age, seeing injuries would grab his attention. There was always an interest in watching the training staff assess the player to figure out what was going on. Naturally then, learning about the physical therapy profession seemed like a good fit for a career.
Chris graduated from The Ohio State University school of physical therapy in 2001 and received his Doctorate of Physical Therapy from Massachusetts General Hospital Institute of Health Professions. Chris has been part of Atrium Medical Center since 2002. He specializes in Orthopedics and enjoys using an eclectic set of skills and treatment approaches to help patients with a wide variety of orthopedic and sports-related conditions. Chris has considerable experience in the diagnosis and treatment of movement system impairments and use of the Selective Functional Movement Assessment (SFMA) and Functional Movement Screen (FMS) to help decrease pain and improve movement.
Chris has training in the use of various manual therapy techniques including joint mobilizations for the spine and extremities, soft tissue mobilization and instrument assisted soft tissue mobilization. He is also skilled in the use of neurodynamic interventions to treat nerve related pain.
Chris has a special interest in treating pain related to throwing and is certified in the OnBaseU pitching screen and throwing analysis.
