Dwayne specializes in sports physical therapy and treats patients with sacroiliac (SI) joint pain and patients who are post-operative hip, shoulder, or knee surgery. Techniques and treatments may include AlterG® Anti-Gravity Treadmill™, dry needling, manual therapy, and blood flow restriction.
Dwayne works with all orthopedic patients but specializes in working with patients with neck pain, shoulder pain, low back pain, and chronic headaches/migraines. He takes a hands-on and mechanical approach, with the philosophy that most pains and dysfunctions can be linked to altered mechanics and function at the joint and, thus, restoring correct mechanics to that joint will help overall function and, in time, decrease pain. He has done extensive training in manual therapy, including spinal manipulation techniques, as well as having the opportunity to return to the University of Dayton to help train the next generation of therapists in treatment of the thoracic and cervical spine. Additional training also includes dry needling, blood flow restriction training, as well as assessment and treatment of golfers through the Titleist Performance Institute.
