Emma K. Fergus, CNP

Emma Fergus, DNP, FNP, received her Doctorate of Nursing Practice, Family Nurse Practitioner from Ohio University in Athens, OH. She received her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Ohio State University in Columbus, OH. Emma is board certified as a Family Nurse Practitioner by the American Association of Nurse Practitioners. She is a member of the Ohio Association of Advanced Practice Nurses.

As a primary care provider, Emma offers comprehensive management for a wide range of acute and chronic conditions, including:

• Chronic Conditions: Hypertension, diabetes, hyperlipidemia, COPD, and arthritis.
• General Health: Common acute illnesses (bacterial and viral infections) and allergies.

She also performs various in-office procedures for patient convenience, such as:

• Joint injections
• Skin biopsies
• Simple wound suturing
• Women's health services, including annual exams and Pap smears

She chose family practice because she values the opportunity to create lasting relationships with patients and support their health across all life stages. Emma's patient care philosophy is rooted in a holistic perspective of wellness. She understands that effective health management requires considering a patient's entire life context, including their values and priorities. Through a shared decision-making process, she expertly combines scholarly evidence with individual needs, with a strong focus on preventative care to keep patients healthy and avoid complications.

Emma welcomes patients of all ages, from birth throughout the lifespan, and is excited to serve the Trotwood and surrounding communities. 

Outside of her professional life, Emma enjoys spending time with family and friends, building Legos, and dancing.
