Fadi M. Tayim, PhD

Fadi M. Tayim, PhD is a Clinical Neuropsychologist and Division Chief of the Brain Mapping Center at the Clinical Neuroscience Institute, specializes in the assessment of brain functioning. He conducts diagnostic procedures including neurocognitive evaluation, functional MRI (fMRI), intracarotid sodium amobarbital procedure (the Wada), and neuroanatomical brain mapping for neurosurgical patients. Dr. Tayim spearheaded the Brain Mapping Center's formation. He is one of the few neuropsychologists with expertise in advanced neuroimaging and brain mapping techniques. Dr. Tayim received his Bachelor of Science degrees in Psychological Science and Sociology from Ball State University, and his doctorate (PhD) from the Pacific Graduate School of Psychology. He completed his pre-doctoral clinical training in neuropsychological assessment of organic and acquired neurological diseases at the VA Palo Alto Health Care System, under the supervision of James A. Moses, PhD, ABPP and Harriet Katz Zeiner, PhD.
Dr. Tayim completed his doctoral research and dissertation in clinical neuroscience and neuroimaging at the Stanford University School of Medicine: Department of Neurology and Neurological Sciences, under the supervision of Kathleen L. Poston, MD, MS, and then began his (pre-doctoral) residency year in Neuropsychology at Dartmouth Medical School, under the supervision of Laura A. Flashman, PhD, ABPP. He was subsequently retained as a Postdoctoral Fellow in Neuropsychology at Dartmouth.
