Glenda Updyke, PA-C

Glenda Updyke, PA, received her Master of Science in Medical Sciences with an emphasis in Surgery from Alderson Broaddus College in Philippi, WV in 2002. She received her Physician Assistant Studies from Kettering College in Kettering, OH in 1998. She had the opportunity to work in Transplant Surgery at Johns Hopkins, Thoracic Surgery at The Ohio State University and in Radiation Oncology and Infectious Diseases. Glenda is board certified as a Physician Assistant by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants. She is a member of American Academy of Physician Assistants and the Ohio Association of Physician Assistants.

Glenda has a special interest in oncology. At a young age, she recognized the importance of unconditional love and compassion for patients due to her grandmother's diagnosis of cancer. Glenda approaches her patients with the same dignity and respect that her grandmother was given. Glenda sees her patients as family and is dedicated to meeting their and their family's needs to the best of her ability.

Outside of her professional life, Glenda enjoys the study theology and the life of Jesus Christ and is a quilter. She adores her goldendoodle, Finley, and is an avid OSU football fan.

Since graduation from PA school in 1998, Glenda has had the opportunity to go on multiple medical missions' trips to Honduras and Dominican Republic.  The appreciation from these precious people is humbling and gratifying.
