Jason A. Miner, MD

Jason Miner, MD, FACS, Lt Col, USAF (Ret.) is a board-certified General and Trauma Surgeon specializing in Trauma, Acute Care Surgery, and Surgical Critical Care. He earned his medical degree from the University of Oklahoma College of Medicine in Tulsa, OK, and completed his General Surgery residency at Wright State University Boonshoft School of Medicine in Dayton, OH.

Dr. Miner is board certified in General Surgery and Surgical Critical Care and is board eligible in Neurocritical Care. He began his local practice while serving on active duty with the United States Air Force, working in an embedded role within the Acute Care Surgery Division of Premier Health. He continues to serve the community in this capacity following his military service.

In addition to his clinical practice, Dr. Miner is an Associate Professor of Surgery at Wright State University. He is actively involved in clinical research, has authored multiple peer-reviewed publications, and has presented his work at local, regional, and national conferences.

Dr. Miner provides comprehensive, patient-centered surgical care using both open and minimally invasive techniques, including laparoscopic and robotic approaches. His areas of expertise include abdominal surgery (such as hernia repair and disorders of the stomach, colon, and small intestine), trauma and acute care surgery, chest wall reconstruction, soft tissue surgery, complex wound management, and procedures such as tracheostomy and feeding tube placement, biopsies, and more advanced surgical interventions.

He is committed to delivering compassionate, individualized care, ensuring each patient fully understands their condition and treatment options. Dr. Miner values strong communication and strives to create a supportive environment where patients feel heard, informed, and confident in their care.

Dr. Miner chose a career in trauma and acute care surgery due to the dynamic nature of the field and the opportunity to care for patients during some of the most critical moments of their lives. He appreciates the teamwork required to provide high-quality, life-saving care across all stages of treatment.

He is a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons (FACS) and an active member of several professional organizations, including the American Association for the Surgery of Trauma (AAST), where he serves on the Military Committee, the Eastern Association for the Surgery of Trauma (EAST), the Excelsior Surgical Society (ESS), the Ohio Chapter of the American College of Surgeons (OCACS), and the American Medical Association (AMA).
