I did not understand why more explanation was not given to me about alternatives to surgery. It was just stated that I needed surgery and what would happen if I did not have the surgery. I was just not understanding how surgery could be scheduled for me and I was not given the reason for surgery, the surgery pros/cons, if there were any alternatives to the surgery.

MY REPORT IN MY CHART WAS COMPLETELY DIFFERENT THAN WAS DISCUSSED/SHOWN TO US AT THE APPT. THERE NEEDED TO BE MORE ADVICE ON WHAT TO DO TO SOLVE THE PROBLEM RATHER THAN JUST ANOTHER SCAN AND POSSIBLE SURGERY. ONCE AGAIN, THERE WAS A DISCONNECT BETWEEN THE MYCHART REPORT AND THE APPT.COMPLETELY BLINDSIDED !!!!

He was very informative and helpful with what comes next in my care. My concern was cleared up in a matter of fact way that was kind. For a first visit it felt like home.

I was told the pain clinic would call to schedule an appointment, they never called so after a week I called them, I was told they couldn't schedule an appointment until the va sent a referral. I explained the va had sent me there anyway. They said it doesn't matter they had to have another referral!!!!!
