Lauren Hopkins, FNP, received her Master of Science in Nursing, Family Nurse Practitioner from the University of Cincinnati in Cincinnati, OH. She received her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Lipscomb University in Nashville, TN. Lauren is board certified as a Family Nurse Practitioner by the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners and is a member of the American Association of Nurse Practitioners and the American Nurses Association.
Lauren is a dedicated nurse practitioner with a special interest in cardiology. Her commitment to cardiac care is rooted in her experience as a Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit (CVICU) nurse, where she provided critical care following open-heart surgeries, cardiac arrests, and severe heart failure. This background instilled a strong understanding of cardiac pathophysiology and the profound impact that meticulous, evidence-based care and small, timely interventions can have on a patient's quality of life.
Lauren believes in a compassionate, patient-centered approach to care, ensuring every individual receives personalized care that addresses their overall well-being. She strives to be a true partner in health by carefully listening to their concerns and empowering them to play an active role in their decision-making. She loves helping patients understand their conditions and creating trust and collaboration to achieve the best possible outcomes. When not caring for patients, Lauren enjoys baking, running, and spending time playing with her dog, Simba.

I came in frustrated by the lack of response from the Dr., not the PA. She was apologetic but did answer all of my questions I had for the doctor. She did phone the Dr. after I left to discuss options for my treatment. She then phoned me to explain what options they decided would be helpful and so we will follow up with those. I'm old. I've not been quiet about not liking the way healthcare is now handled. This is my first experience with being old, I don't intend to do it again! But I am the patient and don't know about what a Dr. knows . I know he has many patients to deal with, but he certainly needs to follow up and keep his patients in the loop. I've found the PA's are a great source of information and help in calming nerves.

I had an EKG performed in the office by the nurse. Everyone on staff was extremely. I had not met Lauren before and she took the time to know more about my history to fully understand my condition and recent concerns. She spent more time with me than I've experienced in the past and I felt she really cared about my overall health, not just my heart. A refreshing type of visit! Thanks Lauren!
