Laurie Bankston, MD, is a graduate of Wright State University Boonshoft School of Medicine in Dayton, OH. She completed her family medicine residency at the University of Cincinnati in Cincinnati, OH. Dr. Bankston is board certified in Family Medicine by the American Board of Family Medicine. She serves as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Family Medicine and the Associate Dean of Medical Education at Wright State University Boonshoft School of Medicine. She is a member of the American Medical Association, the American Academy of Family Physicians, and the American Osteopathic Association.
Dr. Bankston is a dedicated family practice physician whose clinical interests are centered on academic family medicine, providing care for underserved populations, and complex chronic disease management. While Dr. Bankston enjoys caring for patients across the lifespan, she has dedicated much of her career to older patients with complex chronic disease. She is a committed LGBTQ-supportive physician who prioritizes building strong, supportive relationships with every patient she serves.
Outside of medicine, Dr. Bankston is an avid outdoors enthusiast. She enjoys hiking in National and local parks and partakes in bicycle touring across the US and Canada with her partner. She is currently owned by her goldendoodle named Sammy.

Dr. Bankston is amazing! She is attentive and present! At my age, i've had lots of experience with doctors. Other doctors listen in a perfunctory manner before they offer drugs and tests. Dr. Bankston listens carefully and engages with me in a meaningful way. Her responses are thoughtful and reasonable! I'm willing to drive from Beavercreek to Huber Heights to continue my connection with Dr. Bankston.

Dr Bankston and her staff are amazing. Dr B treats you with respect. HEARS where your coming from and is always happy to help. I have followed her to 3 different locations with Huber being 40ish mins from my house. Not enough to stray me away from the care she has given me over 4ish years. Don't change a thing Dr. B is the BEST.

My first appointment with Dr Bankston, but I was favorably impressed and I look forward to working with her in the future. Had a little trouble finding the new office address, but I did find the facilities to be very pleasant and welcoming.
