Dr. Dey earned his medical degree from North Bengal Medical College in West Bengal, India. He completed his internal medicine residency at East Tennessee State University’s James H. Quillen College of Medicine in Johnson City, TN, followed by a fellowship in Gastroenterology at Wake Forest University School of Medicine in Winston-Salem, NC. He is board‑certified in gastroenterology by the American Board of Internal Medicine (ABIM).
Dr. Dey’s clinical interests include advanced diagnostic and therapeutic endoscopy, with particular expertise in endoscopic ultrasound (EUS), EGD, and colonoscopy, including polyp removal. He treats all gastrointestinal and liver diseases, with a special interest in pancreatic disorders and early disease detection.
His approach to care is patient‑centered and evidence‑based. Dr. Dey believes that every individual deserves to be treated with empathy, respect, and clarity, regardless of background or health condition. He chose gastroenterology because of its ability to identify serious conditions early—when treatment and cure are still possible.
In addition to his clinical training, Dr. Dey holds a PhD in Physiology from West Virginia University and has an extensive background in academic research and medical education. He serves as a Clinical Assistant Professor at Wright State University Boonshoft School of Medicine and has authored numerous peer‑reviewed publications and abstracts in gastroenterology and physiology.
