Margo Cox, PT

Margo Cox, PT is a Physical Therapist located in Middletown, OH.  She received her Bachelor of Science in Physical Therapy from The Ohio State University in Columbus, OH in 1990.  
Margo specializes in pelvic health physical therapy and treats patients with urinary incontinence, post-proctectomy, pregnancy and postpartum, diastasis recti, and pelvic organ prolapse. Techniques and treatments may include pelvic floor strength/neuromuscular training, bladder retraining, internal/external manual therapy techniques, toileting techniques, and pressure control training.
Margo also specializes in orthopedic physical therapy and treats post-operation patients and those with sprains/strains, joint pain, fractures, and back pain. Techniques and treatments may include manual therapy, The McKenzie Method®, therapeutic exercise, myofascial or joint mobilization, and postural training.
Margo specializes in general outpatient physical therapy and treats patients with gait dysfunction, balance dysfunction, and generalized weakness as well as amputees. Techniques and treatments may include custom foot orthotics, gait training, balance training, Kinesio taping, and therapeutic exercise.
Margo became interested in physical therapy as a high school athlete. In PT school she realized she enjoyed treating all types of patients, not just sports related injuries. She developed a special interest in the spine, sacroiliac joint, and the lower extremities. This spurred her interest to learn more about the pelvic floor and pelvic ring. She started the pelvic floor program at Atrium Medical Center in 2012, after training with Herman and Wallace. She treats both men and women. She is a volunteer for the Atrium Family YMCA advisory board.
