Melissa Boland, OT is an occupational therapist based in Middletown, OH. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Occupational Therapy from Eastern Kentucky University in Richmond, KY, in 2000.
With more than 25 years of experience as an Occupational Therapist, Melissa has devoted her career to providing compassionate, evidence‑based care. She has been a valued member of Atrium Medical Center for 21 years and has been certified in Lymphedema Therapy since 2022.
Melissa specializes in oncology‑related rehabilitation, providing comprehensive care for individuals with lymphedema, including head and neck, upper extremity, and lower extremity involvement. Her therapeutic approach includes manual lymph drainage, therapeutic exercise, garment measuring, and complete decongestive therapy.
In addition to her oncology expertise, Melissa has extensive experience in neurologic rehabilitation. She works with patients diagnosed with Parkinson’s disease, stroke, multiple sclerosis (MS), spinal cord injuries, and brain injuries. Her treatment focus includes neurological re‑education and the development or restoration of independence in Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) and Instrumental Activities of Daily Living (IADLs).
Melissa is committed to helping her patients achieve meaningful, functional outcomes and improve their quality of life through personalized, goal‑oriented occupational therapy.
