About The Provider
Morgan Gigandet, PT, is a physical therapist in Troy, OH, specializing in running, orthopedic, and sports physical therapy. She earned her Doctor of Physical Therapy from the University of Dayton in 2026 and received her Bachelor of Science in Dietetics from Iowa State University in 2022.
Morgan has a special interest in running physical therapy, helping runners of all levels improve performance, recover from injuries, and return to training safely. She treats conditions such as sprains and strains, sacroiliac (SI) joint pain, and running-related injuries through comprehensive running evaluations, biomechanical assessments, manual therapy, and specialized running training programs.
In her orthopedic physical therapy practice, Morgan works with patients recovering from post-operative procedures, fractures, sprains and strains, joint pain, and other musculoskeletal conditions. Her treatment approach may include manual therapy, blood flow restriction training, therapeutic exercise, instrument-assisted soft tissue mobilization (IASTM), and running gait analysis.
Morgan also provides sports physical therapy services for athletes recovering from post-operative knee, shoulder, hip, and ankle surgeries, ligament and muscle injuries, fractures, and SI joint dysfunction. She utilizes evidence-based treatment techniques to help patients restore strength, mobility, and function while returning to the activities they enjoy.
A lifelong runner and Troy native, Morgan brings both personal and professional experience to her work with athletes. While attending Iowa State University, she competed as a Division I cross country and track athlete and interned with the university's football dietitian. At the University of Dayton, she participated in the Tennis Ball Running Research Group, studying how a tennis ball necklace may influence running biomechanics and impact forces. She also completed independent research focused on runner mobility and gait analysis while gaining experience alongside running specialists and physicians.
A graduate of Troy High School, Morgan won the Ohio State Cross Country Championship during her senior year and qualified for the state championships in both track and cross country all four years. In recognition of her accomplishments, she was inducted into the Troy Athletic Hall of Fame. Passionate about giving back to the running community, Morgan is dedicated to helping runners and active individuals achieve their goals and perform at their best.
