Neva C. Dehart, CNM

Neva Dehart, CNM is a Certified Nurse Midwife and Women's Health Nurse Practitioner with a deep passion for empowering women throughout their lives, from puberty through menopause. She approaches women's care with a focus on shared decision-making, believing that every woman should be educated and empowered to make informed choices about her health. Her goal is to partner with patients, providing them with the necessary information on national recommendations, and the risks and benefits of various treatment options, so they can make the best decisions for themselves. Neva believes that women are innately wise and capable when given the proper support.

She received her Master of Science in Nursing from the University of Cincinnati in Cincinnati, OH and her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Wright State University in Dayton, OH. She is board certified as a Certified Nurse Midwife by the American Midwifery Certification Board, as a Women's Health Nurse Practitioner by the National Certification Board, and a Certified Menopause Provider by The Menopause Society. She is a member of The Menopause Society and the American Midwifery Certification Board.

Neva's special interests include midwifery, women's health, contraception, and menopause management. She provides a wide range of services, including hormone replacement therapy, contraception, prenatal care, and well-woman exams. Her procedures include routine gynecological exams, IUD and Nexplanon insertions, prenatal care, and labor support, including normal vaginal deliveries.

She delivers at Family Beginnings Birth Center and the traditional labor and delivery unit at Miami Valley Hospital. Neva provides outpatient care at Women's Health Specialist and Midwives of Dayton, with offices in Vandalia, Piqua, and Dayton.

Outside of her professional life, Neva enjoys hiking, biking, and swimming.
