Nicole A. Cheri, PT

Nicole Cheri, PT is a Physical Therapist located in Piqua, OH. She earned her Doctor of Physical Therapy from University of St. Augustine for Health Sciences in St. Augustine, FL in 2007.  Nicole received her Bachelor of Arts in Dance from Texas Woman's University in Frisco, TX in 2001.  

Nicole specializes in orthopedic physical therapy and treats patients with joint pain, sprains/strains, and back pain. Techniques and treatments may include manual therapy, therapeutic exercise, myofascial or joint mobilization, postural training, and modalities.

Nicole specializes in sports physical therapy and treats patients with sacroiliac (SI) joint pain, sprains/strains, fractures, ligamentous/muscle tears, and those post-operative knee, shoulder, hip, and ankle surgeries. Techniques and treatments may include AlterG® Anti-Gravity Treadmill™, Kinesio taping, aquatics, instrument-assisted soft tissue mobilization (IASTM), and blood flow restriction.

Nicole also specializes in pelvic health physical therapy and treats patients with urinary incontinence, pelvic pain, pregnancy and postpartum, diastasis recti, and overactive bladder. Techniques and treatments may include pelvic floor strength/neuromuscular training, biofeedback, internal/external manual therapy techniques, bladder retraining, and pelvic floor electric stimulation.

Nicole has an employment background in teaching dance, women's fitness, and Pilates instruction. She returned to graduate school to further her career and studied Physical Therapy, eventually also achieving her Certification in Manual Therapy. Nicole took extra coursework to treat patients for TMJ dysfunction, spinal joint manipulation, dry needling, Kinesiotaping and lately has also studied pelvic floor physical therapy. She enjoys helping patients of all kinds and currently works, as needed, at all four Outpatient Upper Valley Medical Center sites.

During her downtime, Nicole enjoys cooking, hosting parties, outdoor walking/hikes with her dogs & is a new avid golfer with her husband.
