Richard Foreman is what all providers should be like- he listened to what I was saying about my fatigue instead of judging symptom severity based on appearance: "a fat old lady - she's just lazy". By the end of the appointment I knew why he was suggesting treatment, the why of my condition, he explained another alternative diagnosis and ordered blood test for it, and suggested a possible change that would help me not end up anemic again. This is what a visit with a provider should be like and if all visits were this effective use of time (he may have spent a little longer than usual length) patients would be healthier overall and require less follow up treatment which is a win for everyone.
