The new scheduling screens in My Chart are horrible

I had a very positive experience at my doctor's appointment. The check in process was easy and I was treated very courteously. My doctor's nurse was very kind and personable during rooming. I had a great experience with Dr. Dixon who was enthusiastic, friendly, and listened to each of my concerns. He did a thorough symptom review and physical exam and we came up with a plan for each of my concerns. A common concern among patients is that they will not be heard or that their concerns will not be taken seriously, but after my appointment I felt the opposite and I am grateful! As a primary care provider myself I was hoping to find a doctor who meets the standards I set for myself and can confidently say that Dr. Dixon cared for me the way I care for my own patients.

The best thing about South Dayton family physicians is that if you need to see a doctor, they will always get you in--often within hours.

This office was extremely helpful regarding this appointment. I thought I'd scheduled properly via mychart. However I did something wrong and the appointment wasn't in their system. Fortunately no one else had scheduled for that time slot and I was seen and treated. I'm very thankful.

The staff and doctor are always amazing. They listen and followup. On this particular occasion, I called the day before my appointment bencher a work conflict had arisen. Even though all of their appointments were full, they were able to squeeze me in. It was very helpful because after being sick for a month and a half I'm starting to see improvement and I didn't have to choose bew work and health.

Dr.Dixon, takes his time and I don't feel rush. He ask me question . as well as I ask him . All is good with my doctor.

The people are great. The elevator was not working and my wife had a broken kneecap that she was recovering from. It seems amazing that a Doctor's office would have such a problem.

I love this office and Physician. I had been with another Dr. for 15 years. He moved out of state. Dr. Dixon has been my Physician for about a year. He is extremely caring and knowledgeable. His nurses are the same. Front desk staff are always friendly. I like the fact the office is decorated for holidays. Brings me great joy.

Before this visit my perscriptions included refills for 6 months, the latest has no refills. Very problematic for me having no telephone service thanks to AT&T. Hopefully Dr. Dixon will correct this practice.

Dr Dixon is a wonderful Doctor, and everyone in the office is always amazing!

My experience when I arrived was less than satisfying. There were only 2 associates with open windows and one arrived after I arrived. NO ONE excused themselves to at least let me know they would be a while. The employee who arrived after I was there directed me to another associate at the far end of the desk. This associate was friendly, efficient and welcoming. This visit was definitely out of the norm. This was the first time I had this kind of experience. Hopefully this was a one-off that won't happen again.

Dr. Dixon is very cordial, always in good spirits, and respects my rights as a patient in making medical decisions. The medical world now seems to follow an arbitrary set of guidelines and recommendations (regardless of how much "science" there is to support or disprove the info) despite the individual patient and the Patient Bill of Rights. I appreciate Dr. Dixon being in tune with my well-being and respecting my decisions when it comes to my health.

The only negative thing I have to say is I walked in to an empty waiting room and all 3 receptionists did not look up to at least acknowledge that I was standing in front of them, just looking at their computer screens. As a practice for 33 years, I feel that they could look up and at least acknowledge that you are standing there.

Coming away from this appointment I felt like the information I was given was good, extremely helpful, sound advice. I felt a real sense of relief to know what I could do to help with the pain I have been experiencing. Very grateful for the help! Thank you!

Very good doctor

I thought it was a good idea to have a sign indicating that the intake specialist was training. And she seemed to do her job very well.

The only thing that could be somewhat of a negative is the exam room is small which does raise concerns about illness transmission. Very little space between the doctor's chair and the patient's chair. Otherwise, excellent experience!
